Way down the flowing river
Way down the flowing river
Amid the trees so green
Grows a rose, a red red rose
The prettiest I've ever seen
A rose full of life and love
velvet petals soft and sweet
Way down the flowing river
Was where we both would meet
Sharing soft soft kisses
As we lay upon the ground
And as that rose it glistened
The world was silent without a sound
A rose that lived forever
Like the love we share each day
Way down the flowing river
Is where our love shall always lay.
