A Hero and then some
Sometimes escape is our recourse
A chance to breathe, to cut our loss
Of self esteem and faith not grasped
Of CHRIST called to with one last gasp
Far away where no one sees
Sits a Hero on Throne is He
That made all life we see today
That still does reign a breath away
No cape He dons or costume worn
But for each soul The Veil was torn
To bring you close to Him who made
The lost and found this very day
He need not flex muscle or power
But lives to love each waking hour
If one just called He'd hear and come
To show the way how souls are won
Rose He did and walked on water
To make a point on what does bother
Some today who don't believe
So hard for them to so conceive
Yet Hero He who went and payed
To Calvary on cross He'd lay
Your sin that plagues the world today
No different than was yesterday
HERO is a four letter word
As LOVE is too some think absurd
To think that one would die for them
A Hero scorned some still condemn
Take heed and note that save He will
You and yours His word fulfilled
If you just call His name in praise
The dead in you He too would raise
So next time that you seek rescue
Note that He believes in you
Although you may not think of Him
Hero, JESUS, who took your sins
