To Preach the Gospel

When I encourage you,
I do not use a scheme;
That I try to construe,
An unethical dream.

For I never have sought,
In trying to deceive;
Or a corrupted thought,
For others to conceive.

Rather I always spread,
Of the joyous Good News;
On being raised from the dead,
For spiritual values.

Trusted to do our best,
God looks for a clean heart;
That we will pass His test,
And able to impart.

It is God that we please,
Not the world and people;
Following His decrees,
As said in the Gospel.

God is our witness,
That I do not seek praise;
Only His blessedness,
Throughout all of my days.
