Sitting in the sunshine
where life is warm and gay
Then sitting in the shadows
ruined by mold and decay
Listening to the wind blow
a freshness has begun
Sitting in the sweltering heat
wishing your day was done
Many never notice
when times change
For their good and bad
are reflections of same
Yet we pass people on the road side
or under bridges every day
Then we donate money
to save people far away
But! Hunger and misery
parks just down the road
And those we send free things
sends us suitcases that explode
I have always wondered why
Our Government does what it does
Buying friends though out the world
when enemies they become
The ugly rich of America
throw money in their face
They dictate plans for governments
and the land they also rape
They throw customs to the way side
though 5,000 years it has been won
For though we have only 200 years
our way is the only right one?
Come look at the Dictators
for that is what we be
Invading Countries to change them
saying we are setting them free.

( I just wrote this rough draft, its my Grand mother's
birthday she was born 1894, and died 1976,
also the day Pearl harbor was attacked. It is also a topic I
keep thinking about. War! Predator of Man, Maybe dethroning
a tyrant is worthy for war, but then why are we still there after
he is dead. Suggestions and feedback welcome.) Guy
