Poetic-Verses
bright light garage
The dark nights clear, it is almost pink,
From afar, the City lights shimmer all in sync.
The Hedgerows glisten, and tarmac shines,
It gives you a tingling feeling like its Christmas time!
The roads are empty ,except for cars with plates,
And the brightly lit garage open until late.
The night shift worker whose eyes are red.
Wishing so much she was fast asleep in bed.
Pay first for petrol, before you can pump!
It Comes out of her wages if you dare to run.
Cigarettes and alcohol, for a "convenient" price!
Sugar and bread even basmati rice!
The still of the night i captured with the peace it holds,
Until the weekend begins then it all unfolds,
Bottle shops , off license , call them what you will,
But this Tuesday night, the bright light garage is calm and still.
