This May Not be The DayThis may not be the day That Christ was really born It may have been an evening Or some early morn But one thing that we do know He came upon this earth He came a lowly baby It was a virgin birth It doesn't really matter The time, the day, the month The thing that only matters He came because He loves He knew to reach the Father We can't do on our own He sacrificed His body A true love that was shown It's not about the presents Or good things that we do It's all about His love for us A love so strong and true So when you think of Christmas Remember this one thing We celebrate His coming For Christ's our Lord and King So go and spread the message Do it every day Go and tell the story That Jesus is the way The meaning of this Christmas Can never really part Because we have the meaning Imbedded in our hearts Copyright ©2009 Marvin H Lane Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
