I long to follow where you are
As i stand upon this hill
Cold wind blows through my hair
I long to follow where you go
But i can never find you there.
The moon is bright upon the horizon
Stars gather up in the sky
I long to follow you once more
As the clouds pass slowly by
There are many hills, many mountains
That I've often climbed for you
But to travel to where you are
Is something i can never do.
You silently fell asleep one night
Never to wake to the mornings sun
You flew away upon angels wings
With a heart full of joy and fun
As i stand upon this hill
My memories of you are strong
But i must respect you were tired
And that god takes the weak not the strong.
One day when my time is over
I shall travel that old milky way
Together we can stand upon this hill
When our souls are reunited one day.
