Why is it that people like you
Laugh at the kid who is
Being humiliated?
Don't you know
that people like you
helped to create the kids
that gun down others
in the school halls?
Why is it that people like you
Enjoy looking me in the eye
When you walk across my
Chalk art in the street
With some sort of sadistic
Glee?
Why is it that people like you
Have to do a 3-way call
And get two unsuspecting people
To hurt and be hurt
By one another
By the things that were meant
To be said in confidence?
Why is it that people like you
Stand on the sidelines
And cheer others on
In a fight
Or a gang rape?
(there's no difference)
Why is it that people like you
Have to beat each other to behave
Like the typical guy?
And if they even talk or think
Outside the box
You call them or it Gay?
Why is it people like you
Are so cruel?
Besides the sociopaths,
They can't help themselves…
You choose to,
So that makes it worse
What you do…
To us.
“Evil,” Dr. King once said,
“is when good men stand
idly by, and do nothing.”
I say,
There is no difference
Between us,
Unless I agree to it.
Fear stays the hands
And hearts of those
Who would have done
Something when you were
Hurt as a child
To turn this adult
Into hellions,
And for every soul
Who ever stood by,
I apologize,
To all the people like you,
Who,
Could have been me.
