The Vision
I've been awakened…
I say awakened because till now my mind has been in a coma, Resting in memories, wallowing in madness.
Asleep/lost were my visions. Accepting existence and sadness.
"Not good enough" was par for the course. And yet I raised my hand like a champ.
Looking no further than today. No thought of tomorrow My mind was closed, sealed, and stamped
Upon awakening, I rose up and walked to the mirror. And was startled at first when I glanced.
So I rubbed my eyes believing my vision would change. "Take a step back" I'd give that a chance.
But what I saw was clear. I just didn't want to believe. Foreign was this sight to behold.
I saw changes and growth and beauty – a future This feeling can't be bought, borrowed or sold "Somethings strange here" I thought. "This isn't like me" My mind racing, words forming their connection.
This is the feeling I got when I awakened and saw. The vision was YOU My Reflection
