living in a time when self was more important than a pair we felt we had to do something of value be someone stretch our wings fly away follow a dream that was only ours when do we learn what the value of life is really all about floating around this way or that never dwelling on the past then one day it came to roost we began to grow face reality it was not easy one that required us to remember the past when do we learn what the value of life is really all about facing the facts seeing what was always there could it be daring to try recapture the happy leaving the bad behind changing perceptions trying to find what was important when do we learn what the value of life is really all about capturing the moment knowing the joy growing to be an us appreciating what we had gained protecting what was now never to be apart realizing what had been learned to be us when do we learn what the value of life is really all about Vote for this poem
