I'm writing this for your birthday
as a gift from my heart!
Almost nineteen years ago
I fell in love with you - my best friend
what I remember best about you then
was the zeal for Jesus that you had
and the sincere listening ear you gave to me
as your friend....
That has never changed
neither your fervor for The Lord
or your concern for me.....
And I love you for it!
There were a few other
traits that caught my attention
like how you loved to serve THE KING
by teaching HIS WORD
And you always had time
for your students
and after all these years
you have remained the same....
You were a man of prayer
when I met you
and I have been blessed
all these years
to watch your prayer-life
stand firm along with your faith....
And I Love You For It!
Sometimes you say to me
that I used to listen to you
that I was your best student...
Honey, I just grew from student
to being capable to pass on the
knowledge to others
that you've taught me...
One of my first lessons
I recall was....
how I had to do the practice
that scripture required
in order to attain
it's promise....
my students know that lesson well...
And I Love You For It!
Because of you
I still to this day
see how God is working in my life
and I love to point that out
to my students!!!!!
You know someone once said that
behind every good man stands a women....
You, my beloved husband are
THE WIND BENEATH MY WINGS
You are the man behind this women...
You saw in me
the wonderful gifts
God had given me
that I was blind to...
Yes, you even yelled
when I was too stubborn to listen...
you pushed when you
knew it was hurting...
but you pushed cause you knew
I needed to spread my wings...
And I love you for it!
Because of your
love and patience
I have grown
from a lack of
self-esteem as a women
to a lady that loves and
finds her confidence in the Lord...
And I love you for it all!
I thank HIM for the day that
Our Two Souls collided!!!!!
