~^~Angels Among Us~^~

Angels walk among us...
Of this I have no doubt.
They're sent here to protect us...
To keep intruders out.

The devil would devour us
Without this Angel guard...
Without the Holy Spirit
Or the shed blood of our Lord.

Angels are great messengers.
They scurry to and fro
From earth up to the Throne Room
Each time they're bid to go.

Each carries out asignments.
Each asigned a certain place.
As guardians of children,
They freely see the Father's face.

Some stand before The Father
To report all our affairs...
To record all of our victories...
Bring back answers to our prayers.

God uses them in many ways.
They're especially here to serve.
Another gift from our great God
Who gives much more than we deserve.

They're known to take on human form.
God sends them in disguises.
To test us or instruct us...
Guide us when the need arises.

God will meet our every need
And He uses all at hand...
From the tiniest seed of faith
To a mighty Angel band.

Lovingly,
Doris Jacobs-Covington

In the 18th  and 19th chapters
of Genesis, Abraham and Lot are
visited by angels in human form.

"Do not forget to entertain strangers,
for by doing so some have unwittingly
entertained angels." Hebrews 13:2

"Take heed that you do not despise
one of these little ones, for I say
to you that in Heaven their angels
always see the face of my Father who
is in Heaven." Matthew 18:10

"The angel of the Lord encamps all
around those who fear Him. and delivers
them." Psalm 34:7

"Because you have made the Lord, who
is my refuse, even the Most High, your
dwelling place, no evil shall befall
you, nor shall any plague come near
your dwelling, for He shall give His
angels charge over you, to keep you
in all your ways. In their hands they
shall bear you up, lest you dash your
foot upon a stone." Psalm 91:9-12

"And He said to him, "Most assuredly,
I say to you, hereafter you shall see
Heaven open, and the angels of God
ascending and descending upon the Son
of Man" John 1:51

"My God sent His angel and shut the
lion's mouth, so that they have not
hurt me..." Daniel 6:22
