Strangers On The Subway Train

Stealing glances at each other
Do not trust
Women clutching handbags
People from all walks of life
Perhaps a mother, father
Sister or brother
Some reading newspapers, magazines, or books
Trying to pass time
Anxiously waiting
Some quiet
Some loud
Happy faces
Sad faces
Lonely faces
Frightened faces
Indifferent faces
Some standing
Some holding on
Some holding hands
Old
Young
All going somewhere
Thoughts filling their heads
Expressive sets of eyes
Looking here and there
All have a purpose
Anxiously waiting to  get off the train
On the train tomorrow
Different people
Same people
All trying to reach their destination
Strangers on the train
Still
