Poetic-Verses

distressed!! you bet!

Drove my wife to the shops today, fighting conditions and pain!
Car park  was filled with ice! everywhere was the same.
Lost our words in argument, and a bitterness ensued,
Parked the car just anywhere, got stuck in ice ! I'm screwed!

She stormed away from me ,I dragged my foot around,
Looking in the usual shops , no wife could be found,
Had my Aid with me, but it failed me  underfoot,
Slipping and a hurting, I was running out of luck.

Stood in the same old spot , but she never even showed,
Stood there for an hour, getting tired, feeling old.
Hobbled back to the car, looked into the boot,
To try and find a tool ,  and dig the car out.

A powder blue Mercedes was revving its engine up ,
It wasn't going nowhere, just sliding on the spot.
It was stuck behind my car, wheels just spinning round,
I told the driver to stop ,I will try to give a hand.

A lady got out the merc, middle age I would guess!
Had a type of Russian hat, figured her hair was in a mess,
“A  night in shining armour“, she  said with a smile,
Had a pretty face , yes id have gone the whole mile!

Look like some kind of actress, she had a brown dog in the back.
Funny what you notice when your having an anxiety attack!
I Had a garden fork, it was laying in my boot.
Chipped away at the ice, she drove off, and gave a toot!!!

Scrambled back to the shops no wife could I find,
Started to get annoyed, on this cold icy ground.
Suddenly she turned up “ were have you been“?
couldn't tell her I help a damsel in distress, maybe it was just a dream?
