Healing Words
Words are just our way to say
Our thoughts applied to writes this day
Where healing begins to dawn
Making all right what once was wrong
When illness bears it weight on you
It strikes the heart many not few
It brings with it pitched fever high
Bedridden sores and Kleenex ties
My thanks to all who prayed for me
Friends I've met who faithfully
Have given cause to soldier down
For now but soon we will rebound
Healing words have given strength
Like angels born these earthly saints
I give thee thanks for being you
For doing more than you had too
To Doris, Mrs Covington
Dear poet, sister and friend
I wish you well upon this day
But best of all your yesterdays
To Beguiled heart who bares her soul
In writes that pain yet to be told
We pray today has brought Gods light
Upon darkness sometimes you fight
Healing words today all yours
Have given cause for me to pause
To thank, be still to know He's here
Removing doubts that instill fear
