Lay down your baggage;
you're not going anywhere.
Life is a grand journey
and you'll need to
travel light.
There's plenty to want
to take along, I know.
But heavy bags just
don't travel well...
And there's really nothing in there
that you simply cannot live without.
It's not easy
to let things go,
to leave the past
well behind.
Looking back is
so comforting,
even when the view
only hurts.
Whatever it is,
you can't use it now;
it's in the past.
It can't determine
who you are
or
who you will be.
The less you carry,
the freer you'll feel.
So, forgive the pain.
Forgive those betrayals.
Forgive the abuse.
Let go of the resentment.
Let go of your anger.
Let go of all hate.
And travel on now
unencumbered,
learning to live again!
