age frustration

I feel so lucky at getting thus far,
My mother said I was her STAR!
She even said” I could talk to the trees“!

By skirts way up high
There was a time
When I never had to try???

My mother thought I was a living disgrace!
Living alone was hectic and strange
Oh...  I wish for one night to be young again.

It seems you have to live by some other code!
That diverts your eyes from  beautiful women
Although it kills you, it's the code you've  been given;
