Happy New Year of Our Lord 2010
A new year bestowed upon us from God again
He whom declares the end from the beginning
As it is written in Isaiah chapter 46 verse 10
Oh how He longs for hearts to turn to Him
For peace,joy and love to reign within
He's the lover of our soul wanting to be number One
Won't you start this new year by trusting in Him?
There's nothing or nobody that can take His place
To bring you peace and joy by His mercy and grace
The devil wants to destroy your very soul
Jesus is the only one to complete and make you whole
If you want this new year to be the best it can be
Make Jesus the Lord of your life then you'll see
Joy unspeakable and full of His glory
This is what He wants for your life story
We'll all have trials in this life to face
But if we have Jesus He'll give us strength and grace
Whatever the devil meant for harm He can turn around
For when we make Him Lord His power in us will abound
All good gifts come from the Father above
For this reason He should be our first love
Putting nobody or nothing before or above Him
For His very presence gives peace and joy within
Delight yourself in the Lord ...
and He'll give you the desires of your heart
Broken hearts can be mended by His love to impart
For many years I didn't make Him first in my life
Therefore there was no hope during pain and strife
Suddenly one day I surrendered my all to Him
Truly it was then my new life begin
Now when troubles and sorrows arise
I can draw from the wellspring of Life our Christ
So in this new year my prayer for you
Is to trust in Christ Jesus for a life renewed
For it is He that will take our pain and sorrow
Enabling us to have a brighter tomorrow

saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east,
the man that executeth my counsel from a far country:

I have purposed it, I will also do it.

The Cost of Being a Disciple

25 A large crowd was following Jesus.
He turned around and said to them,
26 "If you want to be my disciple,
you must hate everyone else by comparison—your father and mother,
wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life.
Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple.
27 And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me,
you cannot be my disciple.
Zechariah 4:6,10
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying,
This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying,
Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit,
saith the LORD of hosts.
10 For who hath despised the day of small things?
for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet
in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven;
they are the eyes of the LORD,
which run to and fro through the whole earth.

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest
the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh,
and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
