THE GIFT OF SIGHT
I see words in my books
I see photos on my walls
I see figures on my TV screen
I see bare branches of trees
I see gold lights beyond dark clouds
In the cold gray winter sky.
I see the road ahead as I drive,
The signs on the road,
The cars ahead of me,
Behind me,
And alongside of me.
I see faces of people crossing the street.
And wonder of all wonders
I see the smiling faces of my loved ones!
All is so clear and all so bright!
So thank you doctor
For saving my sight.
And thank you God!
