Lift Him Up
The cause today countless and cruel
It plays with souls and makes a fool
Of all we think, of all we hold
Warmth of life has gone stone cold
Perceived in heart and eyes today
That pain with loss some yesterdays
Seem to dance in thoughts we think
Remorse the song, deeper we sink
Hope seems it left for good as faith
Arrives to save before too late
Has come upon the scene one views
From window pane, from old church pew
This world groans each waking hour
Aches, hungers and overpowered
Seems useless, all exits blocked
Mindset in you is too pad locked
How we wish to open eyes
That view the now, blind to the lies
The ones that cause all to slow fade
Into the crowd of the unsaved
We've come to know all things as if
They are forever, yet some won't lift
The LORD on high who drafts the plan
For us to see footprints in sand
Carry we do the weight of one
Who carries all, JESUS, Gods son
Who knows the depth of every soul
Know this children, more He beholds
Lift Him up so He lifts you
The pain and suffering we must go through
For in the end reward all ours
Transforms our worst into our finest hour
