Two Trees

~+~TWO TREES ~+~

Two trees planted in two gardens...
One by God and one by man.
One of the knowledge of good and evil...
On this tree God placed a ban.

Although beautiful for beholding,
Forbidden was its lucious fruit.
But here comes the great deceiver
Dressed up in his snakeskin suit.

The woman yielded to temptation
Not considering the cost.
She, in turn, tempted her husband
And, hence, innocence was lost.

To eat the first tree brought in sin...
Caused the spirit man to die.
Adam and Eve became two thieves
Stole fruit through the devil's lie.

The second tree grew in a garden...
Somewhat related to the first.
But used to crucify the Christ,
This tree would seem to be the worst.

Although hideous and violent,
The ugly tree God had not banned.
He commanded we eat of it...
Spiritually speaking, we understand?

To eat the second tree brings life.
We partake of pardon there.
This bloody tree stands for salvation
Where souls can venture for repair.

Recognize the connecting rod
Between both trees all Bibles list
Both were planted in a garden...
Both observed within the midst.

Both were closely linked with curses.
God cursed the ground at the first tree.
But at the second, God the Savior
Became a curse for you and me.

I reflect in awesome reverence
On the comparatives of these.
For the first and second Adam
Are somehow linked by these two trees.

Lovingly Presented,

*Author's Note:
Notice in the scriptures that the first
Adam and the second (Jesus) died in a garden.
"And out of the ground the Lord God made
every tree grow that is pleasant to the
sight and good for food. The tree of life
was also in the midst of the garden and the
tree of the knowledge of good and evil."
Genesis 2:9

"And the Lord God commanded the man saying,
"Of every tree of the garden you may freely
but of the tree of the knowledge of good and
evil you shall not eat, for in the day that
you eat of it you shall surely die."
Genesis 2:16-17

"And the Lord God said to the woman,"What is
this you have done?" The woman said "The
serpent deceived me and I ate."

"Then to Adam He said,.....Cursed is the
ground for your sake......."Genesis 3:17

*I've only quoted in part here, please read
all of Genesis Chapters 2 and 3.

"The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom,
ye slew and hanged on a tree"
Acts 5:30

"Who His own self bore our sins in His own
body on a tree."
1Peter 2:24

"Except that you eat of the flesh of the
Son of Man, and drink His blood, you have
no life in you.
Who so ever eateth my flesh and drinketh my
blood hath eternal life and I will raise him
up on the last day."
John 6:53-54

"It is the Spirit who gives LIFE, the flesh
profits nothing. The WORDS THAT I SPEAK TO
YOU are Spirit and they are LIFE."
John 6:63

"Where they crucified Him and two others with
Him, one on either side and Jesus in the center."
(in the midst)
John 19:18

"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the
law, having become a curse for us (for it is
written "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree")
Galations 3:13

"They saw in Him no beauty that they should desire
Isaiah 53:2

*Added Note:
Remember that the first tree described in Genesis
was a thing of beauty...the second had no beauty.
Another point to consider are the thieves...Adam
and Eve at the first tree and the two thieves
crucified with Jesus, (Second tree) The more I am
enlightened about this, the more astonished I become!
Satan always works in direct opposition to God.
Because God forbade man to eat of the first tree,
Satan pushed man to eat. And because God commands
man to eat of the fruit of the second tree, Satan
uses all of his powers to prevent man from eating.
Spiritually speaking, the act of eating means taking
into conscience and understanding that eating of Christ
means man must accept by faith what Christ did for
him and live in obedience to Him.
