GOD'S VIDEO PHONE

Lie in bed and can't sleep
Think about the things so deep
In me the grace of God
Oh you can say I'm odd
Miracles give peace
God in me will never cease
So many times I should have died
Show me the way is what I cried
Thus the way was brought to me
It sets the cruelness of death free
When I was six I should have drown
In a canal I turned around
Unable to swim back then
God was there my helpful friend
Went under once then twice
But the third time God was nice
He gave me the shore to cling to
He said sweet girl I save you
Then again at twenty years old
Was saved by grace of gold
Should have died in that car wreck
But God saved me oh what the heck
Then on a bike ride at forty
Was freezing O lordy lordy
There came a thick shirt my way
God saved me again that day...

...Now I am old and fifty-three
Have magical thinking in me
That God is love and love is good
But oh I can't , nor I could
Turn down my God of love so deep
Who comes to me when I can't sleep.
