It's just not right that some say you are wrong
You are the heartbeat of my every song
How can they fail to see you give us breath
To every living creature what's up with that?
Every good gift comes from God above
Including the greatest gift which is love
It is His goodness that allowed us to wake today
It is His promise His children He'll not forsake
Yet many of His creation still run to and fro
Denying themselves through Jesus to be made whole
The greatest love this world will ever know
Is being removed from every facet treated as a foe
I feel such burden wondering how can this be?
The rejection of all that's good is what I see
Yet they wonder what's happening to society
Removing God has corrupted all humanity
In earlier days there wasn't shootings in school
We began our day with prayer and the golden rule
More and more parents seek being a best friend
Than biblically teaching and correcting their children
The fear of higher authority no longer exist
In this day and age it's more like a myth
They're encouraged to rebel and speak their mind
Respect for their elders was another place and time
Being spoiled by giving them anything they want
Only causes them to expect and become more defiant
Their attitudes and desires are all self centered
Leaving doorways open for the enemy to enter
Their gods are corrupted movies and songs
Whose message has been subliminal all along
The devil knows how he can steal their soul
Keeping them occupied on the things of this world to know
Causing their imaginations to fester and grow
Before they know it satan has them under his control
Using them as a tool wherever they go
Soon their bitterness and hate begins to show
The closeness of families begin to shatter
Losing site of all things that really matter
The Saviour of the world Jesus Christ is the solution
To deliver from the clutches of satan to stop mind polution
Satan's power is more in force at this time
For he only has a little while left to destroy lives
My prayer is that parents and children will seek and find
The truth in God's word for a spiritual guide
It's never too late to take back control
Parents be the spiritual leaders of your household
It's not about seeking approval from your child
For each person will answer to the creator Almighty God
I'd rather be dead than be without Jesus
Quite honestly His love is the only one that completes us
Family and friends will turn their back on you
It is only the love of Jesus that's been tried and true
So as we come into the New Year 2010
Won't you search your heart and let Him in
Your heart is the door that He knocks upon
To give life abundantly from this year on
Parents and children I pray you will listen
Search the scriptures for God's love you've been missin'
I tell you the truth we're in perilous times
Only the lover of your soul can keep you from demise
