Rest in peace my dear old battered heart,
may you know the sweet comforting joy
of never ending love once more as you complete
the journey and sleep under the dark ground.
Rest in peace my tired and worn out soul and
learn of the blessed grace and benevolence
that there awaits you.
Rest in peace my old wrinkled body and know
the power of resurrection that awaits you
and is your reward in His redeeming arms.
So slumber in peace until that blessed most
sacred day when the dead in Christ shall
arise in triumphant joy.
