Youth
Youth such an integral compartment
In the process of ones life development
While taking that pilgrimage
Through that progression to old age.
In this amazing and wonderful journey
Don't forget to enjoy the beautiful scenery
As you look through opportunity's windows
And that ray of hope coming through the doors.
Blessed with energy and untapped stamina
A mind fertile with ideas, flowing like hot lava
Be considerate and take the opportunity
To better oneself, and by extension the country
Don't be turned off by each failure
Use this as a form of measure
Be determined, logical and resolute
That is the only way efforts will bear fruit.
There is no time to be downcast or be dismay
You will always encounter hurdles along the way
Many times you will be tempted and tested
Remained focused and between your shoulder keep your head firmly planted.
As always maintain your individuality
Also remember that is the right of everybody
Respect others and their opinions
Don't be angry you may no have all the solutions
Take time to appreciate nature's beauty
Use this as a form of relaxation and therapy
There is nothing like that of the flower and fauna
To initiate such a peaceful aura
Let me tell you and that is for sure
We all had problems as we mature
Rebellious, dogmatic, stubborn and omniscient
Those are the traits of being an adolescent.
Be humble, consult an old sage
Who had preceded you on such a stage
They can draw from many an experience
To assist and be important for your existence
Always remember and not have to get a prod
In maintaining that relationship with God
There you will find a readily available compass
To chart your course through life's morass.
