MORNING

                        On the day I died
                        I rose to the top of the highest mountain
                        Touched the sun with the tip of one finger
                        And a star with the tip of another
                        I smiled at my cloud-shadow below
                        And kissed the snow-capped peak.
                        A bluebird perched upon a rainbow
                        And serenaded a swaying field of daisies.
                        In a land above the galaxy,
                        I tiptoed across the darkening heavens,
                        Stealthily searching through the silent stars,
                        And found the light.
Eternity
