Dealing With The Pain
You ask me why I cry
I ask you why you don't
Is it that you can't
or you just simply won't
The heart so tender
you revealed to me
It's hard to understand
when now a stone is all I see
How can one give so much
and then turn and walk away
Did you know from the start
you were not here to stay
A player I never thought
that you could be
but with what you reveal
that is all I see
What I now know
is so much less than a man
one who runs and hides
and takes the coward's stand
One that causes
all trust to be broken
by false words of love
that were carelessly spoken
I was ready to give
all that I could be
In return you give
a love so empty
I dont understand
what you had to gain
by leaving me
to deal with the pain
