the nights I've cried the days I've smiled
all because the truth of love was too much
for my heart to bear, strangely I love the pain
it reminds me of love I've lost the the love I've found
she consumed my essence with grief, beauty, intrigue,
disgust, lust, heart felt emotions, she gave me the gambit
completing a void that only God knew of;
her, she, the one I considered could heal by broken soul;
she gather her light, gave me a glimpse and I thought it was
so bright, brighter than the North Star; slaves got on trains to
their freedom flowing that shine; I just knew she was that special
ship to guide, lead, and even journey with me to eternity, however
the illusion of the glimmer, the flicker of her shinny shimmer was the
gloss that blinded my sight beyond sight, love and hate they say thin line
b.s(bullsh$%) it's a wide line between the one I love and the one I despise
she governed my flesh, beckoned my spirit with her matting call, her scent
almost heaven sent, divine in it's own right, but in my humbleness, I lost myself;
consumed with what I figured, what I thought was destine forever;
dam, she was clever to devour my inner light with her dark soul;
so damaged, so corrupt with past relations, unforgotten pain,
and remorse she never learned to forgive;
brought all her regrets to our table
the fable is so true in my tale of love lost,
heart burnt, crumbled, and crushed;
she took my strength and gathered her power to gain what she never
could posses, the essence of truth, however through all the pain;
love remains; she was, she will, she is the one that taught me no matter
what road or path I choose, the decision is mine and mine alone;
but what I gained from 4years of unadorted pain
is that I agree it is far better to have loved then never to have loved at all;
pain I hold, pain I let go;
but through it all I've grown
so all I can do is thank the One that I've finally grown the balls to let go!
