 Beauty Queen
Gentle and shy, yet with true beauty shining through;
Full of grace and radiance, your eyes softly dance.
Becoming more secure with time as you now understand;
From whence your glory comes, your smile does enhance.
Not needing perfect hair, straight or curly, always sassy;
Intense in the gym, working hard at chiseling your body.
Swimming like mermaid, lifting with slow controlled strength;
You are a true beauty queen, yet you are never haughty.
Growing up in a family of regal beauty, knowing the ropes;
Forgoing the trappings of your destiny as you have aged.
There is an honest purity in your face, putting me at ease;
With an open spirit, your personality always keeps me engaged.
I write this poem as a tip of my hat, thanks for your friendship;
Down to earth, yet always an angel, and now a sexy grandmother.
It is always a pleasure when I spend time talking to you, my friend;
A true beauty queen, yet you are always deferring to another.
