THE END

divorce Pictures, Images and Photos

                       An almost inaudible EXPLOSION
                       The time bomb
                       Ticks away unfulfilled years,
                       Scratches, bruises, erodes outer skin;
                       But the veins remain unclogged
                       And the blood flows freely.
                       Then, inside a trapped body the volcano erupts
                       Discharging its red lava,
                       Leaving empty, pure and lonely
                       A liberated heart and soul . . .
                       And one year later, she watches him
                       Sitting in that stand, agreeing.
                       "Yes, I understand."

                             "DIVORCE GRANTED," says the judge,
                             And it's over!

                       But does he -- does he understand
                       Her vegetable years?
                       Does he, does he understand
                       Her stone walls, barriers, fortresses, fears,
                       And her struggles to escape
                       The green prison of his cash value?
                       So why, alone in her bed this night,
                       Does she see a time machine
                       Replaying fat babies,
                       Little boys on bicycles,
                       And big boys at Bar Mitzvahs?
                       He, her protector and her jailer,
                       She, the princess and the prisoner.
                       "You're single," says her lawyer . . .

                       So tomorrow they begin again,
                       A new life.
                       And the knife that cut so deep
                       Destroyed all the marriage cancer cells;
                       Destroyed even the handshake and the smile
                       And the mutual wishes for a better life.
                             An almost inaudible EXPLOSION!
                             The blood pours out.

                             "DIVORCE GRANTED."
