My Life
Email Poem | Today's Poetry

 Who am I?
Who am I?
To define would require acceptance and acknowledgement of facts
Facts that have not or cannot be justifiably concluded by those without knowledge
Am I to be the angry black man with a chip on my shoulder because of injustices?
Am I the inferior to a superior lacking the intellect to connect?

These things I an not
I am a creator of nations, of education, of music
I am the envy of many
The victim of the thievery robbed by those that abuse it…

Cowardice and bigotry and subservient; heart sour

I must stand mindful and with a plan
My life is but a gift its tenure has limits dictated by No Man
Stand!… and Live!

Live my life to its fullest potential
Lacking nothing yet accepting more
Forever seeking truth and real facts
Not questioning anything.
I'm sure!

I am:
A father, husband, leader, teacher, creator, author the thought conceiver
The conductor, the director, the dean of my life
Only looking to god through any trouble, hardships and strife
I am

I am what god has created
I am the water, the land and every beast within
I am the root of every tree and every fowl under the sun
Is what I was given
I cannot waste this gift I will not give it away
My responsibility is to love and give, to lead and teach; to

I am
Who am I?
Better still
Who are you?
