 THE BEAR(Quatrain)
119 2009 29 Maart Emmen Kodiak Bear

~The Bear~
(Quatrain)

The bear growled and came out of the woods
He was big and ugly and was to no good
He had hairy paws and a very large belly
And launched at me, demanding more jelly.

When I spotted him I ran so fast to flee
And climbed to the top of a large tree
The bear looked so mean and took me off-guard
As he came after me and shook it so hard.

But thank God,that tree was a coconut tree
And as the coconuts fell I laughed with glee
As some hit him and landed on top of his head
The bear got struck so hard that dropped like dead.

And that's when I slid down and ran so fast
Before the fool awakened and kill me at last
But as I fled I just tossed him my jelly
And shouted "You can have it all, smelly, potbelly!
