Beneath The Tree Of Life
Beneath the tree of life we lay
Dreaming my dreams of yesterday
Were once there lived a sinful man
Today reprieved no longer damned
The glow inside it's branches called
To us once lost who to would fall
Prey to selfishness where feuds
Were fought inside a soul confused
We called to light that reigned supreme
Where life would teach of what would scheme
Against the soul GOD knew we had
Upon a heart now glad once sad
Though even this will not sway one
Who called to me, come here my son
My love for thee has always been
What freed and frees all souls from sin
Today though rest in me you sought
Has come to why reason we've brought
You today to save one more
Before today becomes no more
So rest for now but when you rise
Prepare yourself to claim more lives
For me who calls for you to soldier
But rest for now, beneath my shoulders
