To Nowhere (To The Helpless Victims of War)As the dawn unfurl her wings Her foggy edges brings- Peace over the dusty trail; Tarrying, tarrying, soft but frail. Gunshots after gunshots keep ablaze, Hearts skip a beat, innocents on the race; And Death with his scythe starts to reckon, One . .Two . .Three . . .Hundred-fifty and so on. Words of comfort just melt away, Along with shattered dreams, they never stay, Like those wild flowers in the fields of green, Alluring but after-unheard, unseen. Filthy smoke vanishes in thin air As small teary eyes stare, Asking, "Where do we go from here?" A light ghastly wind answers, "To nowhere, to nowhere. " by Elena maria Parcon copyright October 19, 2009 In as much as I salute to the brave soldiers in our time, i pay tribute to the helpless victims of war. The pain they feel will always be excruciating. There's nothing as painful as seeing your loved ones dying in your arms . . . Others live but with a scar of a horrifying past and face a bleak future. So this poem i dedicate as a tribute. Ariel Rivera With Bukas Palad - One More Gift(uploaded By Errol Sace) Vote for this poem
