 Pages Of A Woman's Soul

Aren't we all just
rainbow-colored gems?

Subtly cut in tiny, little facets;
different parts gleaming
at any given moment?

Look deep into
a diamond's heart,
secret and dark
without sunlight;
nothing but a stone...

Yet once revealed
through the work
of tender hands,
brought to life
in the light of day,
it sparkles and reflects,
bouncing prisms of color
with splendored array!

So we each are:
brooding, tender,
fragile, lost,
miraculous, joyous,
loving, creative;
precious jewels
of humanity
and each of us
can shine
in our own way;

in the rough
at times,
priceless and rare
every day.
