Mirror, mirror on the wall…… will you please tell me what you've seen and heard?
Do you really need me to tell you?
Yes, I need to know.
Well, it's not easy to say, but if you really need me to tell you, I will.
I have witnessed:
Persecution
Ridicule
Judgment
Racially biased remarks
One sided perceptions
Why I've even heard her called stupid, middle aged crazy, a complete idiot, and a jinx
Mirror, mirror on the wall…..I'm so sorry you've witnessed these negative forces.
Dearest mirror, may I tell you something?
JUST MAYBE
…..She's taken these hits against the heart for the sake of love?
…..Those that hurt her cannot understand what she knows?
…..People shouldn't judge something or someone without firsthand knowledge or experience?
…..People don't understand what they themselves cannot see or feel?
…..She'll take a stand for the love she holds in her heart and soul.
…..There exists a bond that no person has ever touched before, or will ever break apart?
…..There's a greater purpose and plan that she or no one can see?
The mirror ‘reflected' upon these statements for quite some time and then replied:
“Just maybe in the history of the world, there have been others that faced persecution, and they stood strong to their beliefs and kept faith in their convictions. For what they stood for were ideals and truths that have guided generations.
Dear mirror, you're 'reflection' is quite insightful… what shall I do?
Continue to be patient, loving and kind. Do not falter, be strong and hold onto the love you've been given. Always find the beauty in every situation, for even in the face of ‘adversity', you'll grow wiser, and stronger and you'll be truly blessed.
