The Love of God

The Father has given His love,
That is flowing from up above;
He has been loving us so much,
While giving His gentle touch.

Each one of us is His child,
Loving so tender and mild;
So that is what we truly are,
Shining brightly just like a star.

And being as children of God,
Then we have to honor and laud;
Giving the Father our love,
Devoting ourselves to thereof.

What we will be is not yet clear,
But the time to know is quite near;
What we know when Christ does return,
That will be when we all will learn.

When Christ comes we will be like Him,
No more will we be feeling grim;
For we will be the same as He,
And understand what He does see.

All who will have the confidence,
Will be pure in obedience;
For His Spirit will cleanse within,
No longer corrupted with sin.
