How many sins I've committed in Your sight
day after day, though I try to get it right
MY GOD, Your forbearance, not to punish me
is Your Amazing Mercy, and it is free
How I long to die to self and live in You
"The Adversary" makes this a hard thing to do
Yet Your favor and Your pity, lets me stand
I'm not rendered helpless in Your Mighty Hand
For all my wrongs, You have the right to condemn
because of Christ, You continue to forgive them
to inflict harm would be my rightful deserve
Still, Your willingness to spare, is what You serve
And so I will journey on, from grace to grace
seeking forgiveness, so I can finish the race
Then all this weight of sin will no longer be
