love
Love Oh!what a very powerful force
Love who know from whence the source
Readily bringing great joy and happiness
Also contrasting great pain, hurt and sadness.
Such a wonderful medicine to dispense
Healing powers can be varied and immense
Admixed with emotion and sentiments so intense
So appealing and overwhelming in every sense
So ever green and with civilization has actually
Existed through time and survive through many a century
Through countries fighting to dsefend their sovereign home
Caused some kings to abdicate their thrones
Who can remember when men so gallantly and pleasantly
Woo the ladies with words and of such poetic mastery
Music with lines so touching and always depicting
The beauty and awe of love so captivatingly romancing
Also in the days of such chivalry
When a man defended his lady's honor so bravely
So the one who dare her touted her any affront , would have to humbly
After be vanquished and humiliated, make an apology
As proof of its many and varied limits
It also hand a hand in politics
Who can remember the sacrificing of Raleigh
So that the king's son a former enemy's daughter could marry.
Shakespeare who wrote many a play
Scripted one in which its power clearly displayed
That two families caught up in such feud and hate
Even that its magnetic forces could negate
But what is so enigmatic and yet remarkable
That in a world containing so many people
Yet somehow there is one particular person
Whom as if uncontrollable forces can initiate that loving passion
Alas today it is spoken and used so freely
Battered and abused so indiscriminately
Some will say it not that I am not romantic
It is just a matter of being economic
Like all things time has brought many changes
Businesses has used every situation and bargains
So that men would not express it lovingly so verbally
Now have to exercise that, tangible and visible.
