Climb the highest mountain, punch the face of god
Scientific Grave Robbers
Huddled together like phantoms
In a dream, they consummate
Oblivion the way most observe life.
Thick with compulsion, their
Marrow drains as their flesh
Melts away with time, a
Dirge in the distance let's them
Dance a fancy death.
A grave desecrated with tears,
The remains washed away
With time, I trudge through
The windy decay and smell
The swift putrefaction.
Elongated fingers entwined,
I think of the uselessness
Of love, a putrid emotion
Rotting in the vault of our
Hearts forever, daring
Us to care just a little harder.
Ideas protruding into a grave
Defiled, the utmost secret
Turned fractal for enjoyment.
The elegy stands etched in
The cavities of the dreamers.
Sacred land, dug up and molested
For education's sake; unearthing
Lost bliss and claiming it
A marvel, so private and now,
Known by all.
Susurrations pierce, I buckle
Under perssure and the pungent
Odor of a forgotten reverie.
Desiccation evident as our
Footprints pound their final
Resting place, I give a somber
Sigh and gaze into the obsidian
Night, knowing the darkness
As a cipher, sucking up all souls.
My emotions canker and I
Sour into a revolt against
The resonation of joy at the
Disturbed, archaic remains of
Lovers taking their final caress.
