Valentine's Love
Valentines love is her reaching
For soul mate gone to God beseeching
Of wedded bliss where once he slept
Each night she cries feeling inept
Valentines love is Haitian born
Orphan, earthquake, families now torn
Who have no one to turn to now
But GOD sees through today somehow
Valentines love was child lifeless
Whose life became battered, depressed
Who walks today in hands that care
Where no more scars upon them bare
Valentines love is father who
Is pressed by faith to make it through
Another day, today where wife
Succumbed to cancer taking her life
Valentines love is world that runs
Without knowledge of the first son
Who came and bared on shoulder weight
Of worldly sin that grows to date
Valentines love is every poet
Who needs to plant a seed and sow it
Whose words will touch someone today
In poem read, in words theirs prayed
Valentines love is you who spites
Curses at will each day and night
Yet in this state Valentines Love
Is you He loves and thought more of
Give someone a JESUS hug
Maybe this time this act will tug
At heart strings dead that time once stole
Bringing to eyes that GOD took hold
Valentines love to all. Inspired and dedicated with a JESUS hug for my dear friend Doris Covington
