Never a thought without doubt of conviction
until doubt becomes all that I know
watching as flowers get plucked from existence
before they had a real chance to grow.
Understanding conviction breeds mostly contradiction
doubt becomes the truth that I see
why waste my life growing with knowledge of knowing
for this life to just cease to be?
I doubt now all reason though welcome each season
for the change it brings to my day
while waiting each sunrise …the end of my life
and for all doubt be banished, away.
