Underneath their clothes is another story
She looks so beautiful
Inside she feels insecure
He looks so rich
He worked so hard
He was from a poor background
You can't judge a person from looking at their clothes
You only see what style they like
You see the colours they like
Or do they really like it or is it just something that suits them
You only see what makes them look good
Not who they really are
You don't even know them
Not really
I dressed in combats and hoodies
People thought i was tough and mean
I was just a tomboy with a reputation
But they never gave me a chance to explain
I used self defense against racism and bullying
I enjoyed skate boarding and certain activities
I went from tomboi to girly
They said i was after something
Under boxers
When i was the most innocent and pure woman of all
I never wanted anything without it meaning something special
Everyone is misjudged
I learned this is part of life
They didn't know me
Except those who took the time to get to know me
Are still friends with me to this day
I will never forget them
All my friends
Old and new are so close to my heart because they really understand me
