Liz's Poems

Graduation

One day they are babies.
The next they are graduating.
One day they are in diapers.
The next they are driving a car.
One day they don't like girls.
The next they are dating.
One day you hold them tight and sing songs.
The next they are listening to rap.
One day they don't want to let you go.
The next they are trying to get out the door.
One day they are holding your hand to Kindergarten.
The next they are holding your hand to Graduation.
You say,” They grow up too fast.
I remember the day when they needed me for everything.
I was super mom.”
