Liz's Poems
Paradise
I will arise and go now to paradise.
The wind wiping my face, the smell of salt water greets me.
Sand beneath my feet, while the waves wash up the shore.
No worries and all the time on my hands.
And I shall have some peace, for my heart is here to rest.
Spending my last days to ready my departure.
No living soul but me on this lonely beach.
The waves speak to me, promising they will be here until the end.
I will arise and go now to paradise.
The Son of God takes my hand as we walk along the beach.
I look back expecting only one set of footsteps, but the sand speaks the truth.
Two angels leave the lonely beach, up to paradise forever.
