Sound of Peace
The sound of peace first can be heard
From the depths of your very soul.
From a place of stillness, listen and learn;
What are the thoughts that drive you?
Without judgment, release and be still;
Listen for that still small voice of spirit.
Hear the gentle waves washing away pride;
Cleansing that me, my, mine mentality.
I can hear the soft song of peace now;
My soul surrenders to the greater One.
Spark of the fire, burning away the dregs;
Only the pure motives remain, shining bright.
The sound of peace become louder,
Shouting from my every fiber.
Cascading from soul to soul,
The world begins to change.
We each long to hear the sound of peace;
Sit still and listen to your heart.
When the song resonates with glory,
Carry it to your neighbors and friends.
Gaining strength, now reach across
The border to your enemies, hold nothing back.
No matter how cruel or oppressive your enemy;
Freedom comes from the depths of your soul.
Love blossoms from that freedom;
Greater than hate, than grudges, than bitterness.
Listen, my friend, listen to your soul;
Hear the beautiful sound of peace.
