Midsummer Night

Swiftly blows the gentle breeze,
Across the dessert sands,
Sweeping tiny granules,
Into the children's hands.

Swiftly blows across the sea,
With peace and calming ease,
A newly wed couple dance within,
The soothing warming breeze.

Protectively it surrounds the setting sun,
Like a carefully zipped pocket,
Protecting it from upcoming clouds,
And secures it like a locket.

Gently it trails down the beach,
Leaving footprints in its midst,
Almost like leaving its signature behind,
To prove to people that it exists.

So tell a story, write a poem,
About this lovely day,
Let other people live the dream,
Don't let it fade away.
