The Wounds Of A Soul
Deeply they cut some caused by lies
So deep they are, trapped with inside
A soul now mourns but some wont see
When facade hides reality
They walk wounded, barely breathing
As time once came along deceiving
A heart of Gold, a spirit filled
Of good their will, gestures now still
It happens when fallout does rain
Bringing ugly along with pain
Two things that drag and pierce the heart
Across where Torn meets with Apart
My soul like yours withers sometimes
This part of one would do just fine
If wounds would heal what yesterday
Would just exit and go away
Easier said than it is done
As wars do rage in everyone
The catch is to tend to whats left
Throw out, clean house showing your best
It may take time to heal, but time will come
To sew and stitch what has been done
To one more soul wounded today
As such is life that has it's way
