There`s none so deaf as those who will not hear
It`s easy they simply just turn a deaf ear,
They close their ears and they close their mind
This is what you will so often find.
You can talk but you`re just wasting your time
They treat you as if you`re committing a crime,
You`re saying things they don`t want to hear
They won`t listen which they make very clear.
When you speak the truth, words fall on deaf ears
Sometimes causing a row ending in tears
They don`t want to know why you`re upset
They hope by not listening you`ll soon forget.
So when you see the shutters come down
Save your breath so there`s no showdown,
Although they`re listening, or so it would appear
You know those deaf ears are not going to hear.
