POVERTY LINE LOVE

He may say he loves you
After the world has been
A stage
Where your part
Was
Acted out in
Submission
To his cause.

He may say he loves you
After he's been gone for
Months
And cheated again
Like a dunce when he
Said it was only
With you
Even then he wasn't true.

He may say he loves you
After he gets drunk
Your RAPTURE par-fume
Outfits of grace
Eyes
To face
In reality
He is not free.

He may say he loves you
After he has said he
Loves her too
Her and
You
There's not a lot that he
Would do
You become a zero
He was your hero.

He may say he loves you
After words remind him
Of the truths
You speak
Injustices of life
He has a wife
Not going to buy your home
Let you keep your quiet place to live
He only has his manly times of sex to give.
